ICEFA 2020 Prize Awards – Mali

In January, sixteen-year-old Seydou Diarra from Mali received his award for the 48th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2020. The student from the Institut National des Arts in Bamako received an honorable mention for his landscape painting. The diploma was ceremonially presented to him by the school principal Mr. Amadou Lougué, the Head of the Czech Embassy in Bamako Mr. Robert Kopecký and his deputy Mr. Miroslav Bálint.
In 2020, Mali participated in the exhibition for the very first time. The curator of the exhibition, Mrs. Stanislava Doleželová, and Mr. Robert Kopecký came up with the idea for the students from Bamako to enter the contest. They approached Mr. Amadou Lougué and students of the Institut National des Arts submitted nearly two dozen very nice artworks to the competition.
