ICEFA 2020 Prize Awards - Tallinn, Estonia

On 11th October, 2020, Estonian participants of the 48th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2020 received their prizes from the hands of Mrs. Gabriela Tománková, Ambassadress of the Czech Republic to Estonia. Inspired by this year’s theme, the prize awards took place in the beautiful setting of Tallinn Botanical Garden.
In her speech, Mrs. Tománková talked about the history of Lidice, the tradition of ICEFA Lidice, and invited attendants to participate in the next year’s edition. The event was attended also by parents and teachers, who received a certificate from the Embassy of the Czech Republic, commending successful guidance of their students.
This year, twenty schools and seven individual participants from Estonia took part in the competition with 364 artworks in total. The highest award, medal The Rose of Lidice, was acquired by Erik Ishanjazov from the Narva Art School. Honourable mentions were awarded to eleven students from four schools – the Kohtla-Järve Art School, Pärnu Art Center, Tallinn Art School and Pelgulinna Gümnaasium in Tallinn.
