ICEFA Lidice 2022 Prize Awards – Cuba

On December 14, 2022, an award ceremony was held for Cuban artists who participated in the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2022. The award ceremony took place at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts in Havana.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba and the National Council of Art Schools. Consul Eliška Kubánková presented a total of three awards in the 50th edition of the art competition dedicated to museums.

Honourable mentions were awarded to students Fabio Díaz Espinosa and Laureen Zaldívar Montalvo, both for drawing. A student from the city of Camagüey in the eastern part of Cuba, Evián Miguel García Castillo, also received an award for his clay sculpture. His art teacher, Mr. Iván Castillo, accepted the award of behalf of him.
