ICEFA Lidice 2022 Prize Awards – Cyprus

Pupils and students living in Cyprus traditionally participate in ICEFA Lidice. In last year's 50th edition, nine-year-old Daria Vitiuk from Paphos was awarded an honourable mention by the panel of judges for her artwork on the theme MUSEUM.

On June 8, 2023, Daria came with her father to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Nicosia to receive an honourable mention diploma together with a gift of painting supplies from the Ambassador Mr. Vladimír Němec for her painting on the theme of "museum", which she submitted to the competition last year as an individual participant.

Students from schools in Cyprus have been participating in the competition since 2016. They send 10–20 works to the competition every year. Congratulations to Daria and all the other skillful winners and we look forward to next year. In 2023, the theme of the competition is DANCE. More than 16,000 children's artworks from 83 countries were sent to this edition.
