ICEFA Lidice 2022 Prize Awards – Kosovo

On November 30, 2022, the head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina, Pavel Bílek, presented honourary mentions of the Lidice Memorial to two students of Kosovo schools from Malishevë and Vushtrri for their artworks awarded in the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2022.
On November 30, at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina, diplomas awarded to young artists from Kosovo schools in the 50th edition of ICEFA Lidice were ceremonially presented to the winners. This year's theme was Museum. The students Albina Alia from Vushtrri and Tringa Morina from Malishevë received the award "Honourable mention". The diploma ceremony was attended by the students' parents, principals and teachers of both schools, as well as a representative of the Vushtrri Municipal Office, which financially supports the development of the visual arts for children in the regional schools.
Honourable mentions were presented to both students by the head of the Czech Embassy in Pristina, Pavel Bílek. During the ceremony, Mr. Bílek emphasized the historical context of the exhibition in memory of the children from Lidice murdered by the Nazis. Furthermore, he praised the interest of school students in Kosovo in the exhibition, their talent, as well as the support of the competition, provided by school management, professional pedagogues and the municipality. The principals of both schools and parents thanked the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina for the personal presentation of the diplomas, which was, as they stated, not only a great honour, but also a great motivation for pupils and teachers to participate in the following years of the competition.
