35th ICEFA Exhibition
Dates: 1 - 18 October 2009
Venue: Fort Copacabana - Rio de Janeiro
On 1 October 2009, fort Copacabana (Forte Copacabana), situated at the end of Copacabana Beach, became a venue for the exhibition of the best entries of the 35th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice featuring the theme Sport. The place where the exhibition was installed is called Fortification (Fortificacao). The dates of the exhibition were selected in view of the Brazilian Children’s Day held on 5 October.
The ceremonial opening was attended by Consul General of the CR in Sao Paulo, Mr. Stanislav Kázecký and his wife, Honorary Consul of the CR in Rio de Janeiro, Mrs. Diamantine Sobota and her husband Freddy, cultural representatives of other consulates and above all, Czechs living in Rio de Janeiro.
Also artistic workshops were a part of the exhibition, being held on Tuesday the sixth and Thursday the eighth of October, led by Mistress Marie Brychová and Joseval Silveiro e Santos from Rio de Janeiro.
The best pictures created in these workshops are to be sent to the upcoming 38th ICEFA Lidice. The closing date of the exhibition was 18 October.

Venue: Gallery of the Candido Mendes University, Rio de Janeiro, Meier
From 28 October to 13 November 2009 the exhibition took place at the Gallery of the Candido Mendes University, Rio de Janeiro, Meier. The exhibition was organized by the university teachers Mrs. Isabel Souza and Mr. Peter Cohen. Also here the exhibition was accompanied by artistic workshops with ample attendance – see photos.

Venue: Casa da Kultura - Vassouras (state of Rio de Janeiro)
From 23 November to 6 December 2009 the last display took place of the exhibition Children for Peace at Casa da Kultura at Vassouras (state of Rio de Janeiro), which was organized by Mrs. Isabel Souza and the secretary for culture at Vassouras.
