ICEFA 2010 prize awards - Turkey, Ankara

On his business trip to Izmir in December 2010, the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Turkey, Mr. Václav Hubinger, visited the primary school Dugrallar Ilkögretum Okulu and presented the headmistress, Ms. Tirdevs Altinas, with the Lidice Rose medal. The school was awarded the medal for the collection of its pupils’ entries to the 38th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.
The award took place in the presence of almost all members of the teaching staff and the creators of the entries. The event was attended also by Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Izmir, Mr. Etem Özsoy, as well as representatives of local media.
Considering the varied places of residence of the participants as well as their distances from Ankara, other children from Turkey received their certificates by post.
