Consulate General Doneck

On 27 October, in the eve of the National day of the Czech Republic, the Consulate General Doneck held ceremonial awards to the this year’s winners of the 38th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010.

The awards of the certificates and a medal took place on the premises of the Consulate General in the presence of the child winners (from the Doneck region, the towns of Doneck and Kramatorsk) accompanied by their parents and teachers. The great and unreserved joy of the children over the certificates they received was enhanced by the adults’ appreciation of the way the prizes were presented. All look forward to the next edition of the competition.

Embassy in Kiev

On 13 December 2010, enjoying the pre-festive atmosphere, the successful participants of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010 were awarded prizes in the presence of their parents, their teachers and the staff of the Embassy in the ceremonial room of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kiev.
Besides the certificates, the children received also small keepsakes (including sets of crayons). The young artists were invited after the ceremony to contribute with their artistic talent to the Christmas decoration of the Embassy. Then the guests were treated to a small meal. The pleased guests (including children) used this occasion to take many common photographs with the officers of the Embassy in Kiev. Honorary Consulate in Kharkov
On 16 December 2010
a ceremonial prize awards took place in Kharkov to this year’s winners of the 38th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010. The event was organized by the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Kharkov in cooperation with the Consulate General in Doneck.

The awards of the certificates and a medal took place on the premises of the Kharkov Art Lyceum in the presence of the Honorary Consul O. Čigrinov and circa seventy guests: pupils of the school, management of the school and the parents. The great and unreserved joy of the children over the certificates they received was enhanced by the adults’ appreciation of the way the prizes were presented. All look forward to the next edition of the competition.

Consulate General in Lviv
On 14 January 2010
Consul General David Pavlita visited the Decorative and Applied Art School at Sambor to present honorary mentions to two pupils attending an art hobby group for their success in the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010. The awarded pupils were Hrystyna Bohdanivna Hirnyk and Vláda Serhiivna Kanonik. Their school having been participating for the first time in the competition makes their success even more remarkable.

The festive meeting with all members of the hobby group, their teachers, head of the art department Ivan Geryč and representatives of the city council led by Mayor Taras Kopylyak took place in a pleasant atmosphere of the school that resides in a renovated wooden building built a hundred years ago according to houses from the Polish town of Zakopane.
