ICEFA 2010 prize awards – Montenegro, Podgorica

From the initiative of the Embassy in Belgrade and the Consular Agency at Podgorica, 22 February 2010 saw the ceremonial prize awards taking place in the festively decorated hall of the Ministry of Education and Sports in Podgorica in which 15 Montenegrin children received their certificates awarded to them by the expert panel of judges for their participation in the international exhibition of fine arts Lidice 2010. Another several dozens of Montenegrin children having participated in the abovementioned competition received letters from the Consular agency at Podgorica containing greetings from the organizers as well as he invitation to participate in the this year’s 39th edition of the competition.
In addition to the young laureates and their parents, the headmasters of the nine schools and the art teachers, the festive event saw the presence also of a Deputy Minister of Education and members of the staffs of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After the opening speech by Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Mubere Kurpejović, the children were addressed by Ambassadress of the Czech Republic H. Hubáčková. Having stressed the timelessness and great international prestige of the competition, she invited the children and their classmates to participate in its 39th edition. She also thanked the Ministry of Education for helpfulness in organizing the event as well as the parents and the school representatives whose support was indispensable for the children’s success. She concluded with presenting the children with the certificates and small gifts from the Embassy Belgrade/Consular Agency Podgorica.
A modest banquet in the premises of the Ministry of Education and Science was a part of the event. The information of the 39th edition of the competition has been presented on the web site of the Montenegro Ministry of Education and Sports since early February 2011.
The certificate award ceremony was well attended by representatives of the press and several radio and TV channels which brought reports of the event the same night. The daily Pobjeda informed on the event on the following day.
